On October 17th Wendy Mitchell, owner of the award-winning Avalanche Cheese Company, opened her new restaurant Meat & Cheese, located at 319 E. Hopkins in Aspen.
Meat & Cheese Restaurant and Farm Shop brims with rustic charm, and you won’t be disappointed by the colorful array of locally grown produce and flowers; the selection of gifts and gourmet provisions – and of course, the impressive range of award-winning cheeses straight from Avalanche’s dairy. The meat counter will also have you drooling if that’s what takes your fancy and maybe enjoy one of their craft beers while you’re at it!
Detroit artist Louise Chen created the lovely floral-themed mural so whether you’re looking for a quick bite to eat; shopping for a gift or simply planning to stock your fridge with delicious locally-produced goodies, I’m happy to report that Meat & Cheese is Aspen’s newest and best one-stop destination!
